Join us in Philadelphia for Data Privacy Day 2019!

Data Privacy Day is coming up on Monday, January 28, 2019 and Clarip will be at Paganos from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM to celebrate as part of Privacy After Hours. Please join us in Center City for this informal happy hour to discuss privacy matters, have a drink and meet others in the area interested in improving or promoting better data practices.

Whether you are a privacy professional in the Philadelphia area, business owner, student, or simply have an interest in privacy and cybersecurity, we hope you can make it to Paganos at 2001 Market Street in Center City, Philadelphia to celebrate Data Privacy Day with us. The bar is accessed by the courtyard on the north side of Market Street between 20th and 21st streets. It is located in the same building as the Citizens Bank and the Fedex.

About Privacy Day

Data Privacy Day is an international holiday held annually on January 28 to raise awareness about and promote best best practices in privacy and data protection. It is observed by the United States, Canada, India and 47 European countries.

The holiday commemorates the signing of the first legally binding international treaty on privacy and data protection, Convention 108, on January 28, 1981. It was first celebrated in the United States in January 2008. In 2009, the US House of Representatives recognized National Data Privacy Day and the Senate followed in 2010 and 2011.

The event at Paganos is a part of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) KnowledgeNet’s Privacy After Hours.
