Chase Exposes Bank Customer Accounts Online in Glitch

JP Morgan Chase customers using the Chase.com website or banking mobile app to log into their bank accounts were presented with the information of another customer for a limited number of customers that logged in over the course of approximately three hours.

The problem impacted personal accounts. No commercial customers of JP Morgan Chase were seeing the account information of other customers according to the Case spokesperson.

Chase is still reviewing the incident but indicated that it was an internal error rather than a malicious actor. They asked customers who see suspicious activity to give them a call.
